1- ANGEL OAK AT BACARA RESORT
Angel Oak at Bacara strives to be personable and welcoming to all customers, whether they are dressed up or down. Natural elements such as gnarled bonsai trees and a bright, calm ocean vista offset the severe, angular architecture; somber, yet clean color palette; and modern fixtures expected of a classic steakhouse.
2- AVANT
Avant at Rancho Bernardo Inn is a casually stylish restaurant with a spacious dining lanai facing the resort’s golf course, a refined yet unpretentious dining room, and an interactive private teaching and show kitchen.
3- CASTAWAY
With operable picture windows that fully open to the terrace, a conspicuous meat dry-aging area, a floor-to-ceiling wine cellar, a captivating wrap-around bar, and a highly wanted Chef’s Table setup, design plays a key part at Castaway.
4- JIMMY’S FAMOUS
HDG developed this concept as “an unfussy foodie favorite” that serves artisanal ingredients as American classics. The design nods to its name by incorporating bold hues, dark wood fixtures, and national symbols in the artwork such as This concept was created by HDG as “an unfussy gourmet favorite,” serving artisanal ingredients as American classics. Bold hues, dark wood fittings, and patriotic icons in the artwork, such as painted murals of America the Beautiful lyrics and a distressed American flag, all pay homage to the name. The JFAT design can be described as “nautical Americana” in two terms.
5- KETCH
By combining contemporary light fixtures, metal bar and liquor displays, and geometric bar tile patterns with natural wood trusses and ceilings, custom exposed wood lounge settees, and muted and cozy linens, Ketch’s design juxtaposes modern-industrial and rustic themes.

Restaurant Interior Designs – The Best Ideas
The design of King’s Fish House and Lazy Dog Cafe earned HDG the “Hot Concepts Award” from Nation’s Restaurant News. In addition to creating well-known ideas such as Ruby’s Diner, Lucille’s Bar-B-Que, and The Cheesecake Factory, they have also worked on the highly successful Ruby’s Diner, Lucille’s Bar-B-Que, and The Cheesecake Factory (second location).

6- KING’S FISH HOUSE
A cross-country road trip in search of the perfect fish experience led to the creation of King’s Fish House. They put on bibs, took a seat, and ordered no-name dishes from hand-written and chalked “Specials” boards, only to discover that outstanding hospitality and a shared passion for high-quality fish made for a truly wholesome and meaningful experience.

7- PLAYA MESA
A traditional comal; a big bar over the structure with Agave spirits, select Mexican lagers, and hand-picked Spanish, Central, and South American wines; and bright, colorful textiles provide Playa Mesa a vibrant, south of the border environment.

8- TANNER’S AT PASÉA
Tanner’s offers stunning views of the Pacific Ocean from both indoor and outdoor seating areas, as well as an expanded inside the bar and a trendy Treehouse-style rooftop bar with ocean views. The restaurant provides a fun coastal setting that connects guests and locals to the local surf culture while providing an outstanding dining experience.

9- VISTA COLLINA
With nine tasting rooms exhibiting the best boutique wineries, an onsite upmarket market, Fivetown Grocery, a Food & Wine Center, and a 16,000-square-foot event lawn, The Village curates the best of Napa into a unique Wine Country experience.
10- WATER GRILL
Although the first Water Grill opened in Los Angeles in 1989, the iconic style that guests know and love today was created when the first restaurant was refurbished in 2012. Rough-sawn structural timbers, oceanic blues, yellow ochres, giant hand-strewn oyster shell chandeliers, bespoke pulley sconces with nautical rope, and cleat embellishments, and oversized captain’s chairs are all included in this deep-sea fishing ship turned restaurant.
