In the Artezen Hotel, DiGuiseppe Architect designed and opened in April 2019, there sits a two-story-high space at the 20th and 21st floor of the Hotel that will become a Bar/ Lounge for a sophisticated clientele. The name of the Bar/ Lounge was derived from the owners with a nod towards the leather industry that had its birth in the 1690s in the Dutch settlement know as New Amsterdam.
The 2500 sq. ft space has two-level connected by an Italian made staircase of cerused oak and glass, which afford the partons amazing views of the downtown financial district, highlighted by velvet banquettes, custom blown glass lighting fixtures, by Seth Parks, Mirrors by Allison Eden, and two onyx faced bars, distressed barn-like porcelain floors with water buffalo area rugs, custom cocktail tables and chairs. The design incorporates touches of leather, cerused wood, and a “ DiGuiseppe” blown glass chandelier, that is indicative of the main focus of the hotel combining Arte and Zen.
