Just like in the good old era of hospitality, much of AC Hotel appeal comes from architecture and interior design.

And the front desk, the iconic greeter of guests, now plays a supporting role to bars, coffee shops, and eateries, which tend to have a more prominent presence in the lobby.

The most noticeable changes were the lobby. The interior design team from Chicago-based Simeone Deary Design Group, knocked out a large wall at the entrance so that when guests walk through the front door, they walk into the new Apothecary Bar. The hotel interior design inspirations were two key aspects of Minneapolis’ identity: the flour mills and water power. As for the artwork, it’s a mix of local paintings and mixed-media plaster moldings. These, along with carpets, cabinets and other elements are meant to emulate Minnesota’s topographic features, like the riverbeds. Another masterpiece from Simeone Deary Design Group.

Hotel Allegro aimed to reconnect with its own Art Deco past when the property was known as the Hotel Bismarck. Simeone Deary Design Group was responsible to create the hotel interior design project that aimed to bring back the Art Deco design to the hotel with a three-phase renovation that will update the lobby and entrance.
The first stage of the project focused on event spaces, introducing Crescendo, a former gift shop at the apex of the grand stairway that was converted into a combination lounge, meeting space and private event space and the Green Room, meeting space with a refined, study-like entrance lounge and fireplace. The second phase focused on creating a more active, flowing grand lobby decked out in period flourishes and restored fixtures. Finally, the Encore Lounge features a bar, double-sided fireplace, and lounge.
Designed by Simeone Deary Design Group, under a consulting agreement with Gensler. The Rosita Cocktail Bar and Lounge at the Palazzo Las Vegas is an elegant and luxurious cocktail retreat that embodies old-school allure with its Art Deco flair, and shimmering shades of black, pearl, gold, and rich burgundy.
