Thomas Juul-Hansen is an interior design and architect born and raised in Copenhagen, Denmark. Juul-Hansen received his bachelor of architecture from University of Miami and a Master of Architecture from Harvard University. After working at Richard Meier and partners architects in New York, he founded Thomas Juul-Hansen, LLC in 2003.

Since its foundation in 2003, Thomas Juul-Hansen, LLC has developed a diverse body of design work including residential, hospitality, retail, and interiors. With each project, the firm explores unique and innovative formal solutions to provoke a notion of timeless manifesto through thoughtful investigations of contextual sensitivity, materiality, and customization. THE INN AT POUND RIDGE

The renewal of the 19th century Inn consisted of rebuilding the exterior structure, in addition to a complete gut renovation of the interior spaces. The urbane modernism yet rustic sensibility found at the Inn at Pound Ridge by acclaimed Chef Jean Georges Vongerichten is achieved through the material selections of locally sourced barn boards and reclaimed wooden tables along with the preservation of exposed ceiling beams and leather upholstered bar banquette furnishings, all of which are custom-designed for the restaurant.

The renovation of the sixty-four seat, three Michelin star chef’s dining room located in trump international hotel central park was completed in seven days. All components including furnishings, carpet, window treatment, and light fixtures were custom-designed for Jean Georges’ main dining room.

PERRY ST

Located within the west village glass tower facing the waterfront panoramas of the Hudson River, restaurant Perry St by Chef Jean Georges Vongerichten offers warm hospitality through a hybridity of the conventional dining experience with elements of an intimate residential dining room. Custom designed modernity is evident through material selections including a black cast resin bar top, fumed solid oak wrapped banquettes and fine upholstery in exclusive white Italian leather.

NOUGATINE

NOUGATINE

Adjacent to the Jean Georges dining room, the renovation of restaurant Nougatine at Jean Georges was executed in six days. All millwork and furnishings are custom designed for the restaurant and built off-site. Nougatine is amongst one of the five other restaurants by jean Georges Vongerichten also designed by Thomas Juul-Hansen, LLC.
