Aria Group develop a store design that would serve as a prototype for future stores. The motivation for developing this new prototype was to incorporate NYAJ’s refined brand of simple ‘California Industrial’ into a casually hip, engaging environment. Open views into kitchen and bar space promote the energy of the concept.

Aria Group focused on flow and layout of the order counter and kiosks, beverages, and dining spaces. Providing a variety of seating and table types to accommodate patrons working on their laptops, dining solo, dining with their families, or meeting with a larger community group presented a challenge to the existing open floor plan.

P.F. Chang’s China Bistro

Aria Group has been working with P.F. Chang’s since 1998 creating a “collection” of restaurants for their upscale-casual Asian concept. Though some iconic design elements such as the bonsai tree, horse and warrior statues and mural remain, their design style as well as their menu has evolved over the years.

Perry’s Steakhouse

After opening a number of restaurants to great success, Perry’s retained Aria Group to revitalize their design and help move their brand forward in the spring of 2014. Aria Group has since designed multiple new stores, along with a number of remodels of Perry’s existing locations.

California Pizza Kitchen

Aria Group has taken California Pizza Kitchen through a few iterations over the years. The new direction updates the brand with a modern, “California Casual” look with natural woods, clean lines and a fresh look.

Monnie Burke’s

For the interior design, Aria Group collaborated with Siren Betty to bring a warm, gastropub environment to life. Green painted paneling, patterned wallcovering, exposed brick and warm woods were central to the palette. To enhance the vibe of the space a variety of lighting was instrumental in creating a welcoming ambiance to enjoy a meal.

Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steak House

Aria Group has been working with Del Frisco’s since 2011 on The Double Eagle Steakhouse. The large format of the Double Eagle references the Texas heritage of the company but also embraces the local flavor of each new location. In Chicago, the two and a half story, 24,000 square foot restaurant is housed in the historic 1940’s Art Deco Esquire Theater.

Cooper’s Hawk Winery and Restaurant

Cooper’s Hawk is a unique concept that incorporates a winery within a restaurant to create a modern, casual dining experience. In addition to their signature retail/tasting room, barrel room and the feature barrel for their reserve wine, Aria Group added transparent wine bottle display walls and enlarged vineyard artwork to highlight their wine making process and brand.

Chicago Firehouse

The Chicago Firehouse Restaurant is a 15,000 SF two-story building with seating for 380 patrons. It is housed in a Chicago Landmark Structure. The name is a perfect match for this original 1905 Firehouse that was converted to a restaurant. Tragically, a roof fire struck the building in December of 2014.

Dos Toros

Craving the California Mission style burritos they grew up with, Brothers Leo & Oliver Kramer started Dos Toros Taqueria to share their burrito love with New York City. Since 2009, they have expanded to more than 14 locations and Aria Group has helped with their growth in Chicago, their first market outside of New York. A contemporary design aesthetic and attention to detail are forefront in our work for their Chicago locations.
