INTERCONTINENTAL NEW YORK BARCLAY HOTEL (New York, USA)<\/strong><\/h5>\n

New interior for the property, HOK\u2019s design team looked into the past of the hotel, infusing birds (the property\u2019s lobby birdcage once housed as many as 200 songbirds), the letter B (found on the building\u2019s exterior cornice) and classic Federalist designs (including stripes, arrows and eagles) as recurring themes.<\/span><\/p>\n

MANDARIN ORIENTAL, NEW YORK (SUITE 5000) (New York, USA)<\/strong><\/h5>\n

The suite features custom-made furnishings, highly curated art work, a dramatic entryway sculpture, a custom, organic-shaped Swarovski chandelier and hand-woven area rugs with textured, free-form edges. Complementing the beautiful interiors, Mandarin Oriental, New York partnered with Whitewall magazine to curate an exclusive art exhibition of New York City-inspired works by established and emerging <\/span>contemporary modern<\/strong> artists within the suite.<\/span><\/p>\n

THE WESTIN NANCHANG HOTEL (Nanchang, China)<\/strong><\/h5>\n

The atrium embodies the hotel\u2019s unique design offering a contemporary interpretation of a traditional Chinese courtyard house. The siheyuan historically has represented the collective, mercantile essence of Jiangxi\u2019s people by serving as the focus for trade and the exchange of ideas. HOK\u2019s design features fine art displays showcasing contemporary interpretations of traditional crafts such as ceramics and carved jade sculptures. This infuses the space with a sense of place.<\/span><\/p>\n

THE LOTTE NEW YORK PALACE HOTEL (CHAMPAGNE SUITE) (New York, USA)<\/strong><\/h5>\n

The distinct colors of champagne varietals inspired the design of the second floor. Chardonnay grape influenced all the d\u00e9cor of the master bedroom suite features a palette of ecru, cream and amber tones. This continues into the suite\u2019s lavish master bathroom, where guests can pamper themselves in the large walk-in shower or indulgent soaking tub. The guest bedroom suite draws inspiration from the more intense notes of a Pinot Noir, with glistening rose-tinted silvers that aerate warm copper.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
