In 2012, Chambers worked with the club to propose other enhancements to improve the member experience.\u00a0The previous Versailles Room (a large formal dining and banquet space) was converted into the new Terrace Room \u2013 an adult casual dining space with a large, centrally located circular bar in place of what was once a central dance floor.<\/p>\n

The interior design<\/strong><\/em> contains a space featuring a variety of dining, bar and lounge seating, as well as large floor-to-ceiling windows with picturesque golf course views. The outdoor terrace was also expanded, covered, and equipped with large TVs, fans, and an outdoor kitchen. A gallery was also created between the Terrace Room and new kitchen, a space that boasts wine cabinet displays and permanent.<\/p>\n

Since the Greenville Country Club\u2019s inception in 1895, three different clubhouses had been built to serve its members.\u00a0In 2011, the Club hired Chambers to assist in the development of a\u00a0hotel interior design<\/em><\/strong><\/a> focused on all aspects of the club \u2013 membership, governance, management, dining, and social aspects, golf, and recreational activities.<\/p>\n

Designed to offer a wide variety of dining experiences, clubhouse elements were carefully arranged around a centralized kitchen to optimize operational efficiencies and provide stunning views. The\u00a0interior design\u00a0<\/u><\/em><\/strong>includes numerous cutting edge amenities were also incorporated into the new building, including an expansive outdoor terrace, wine locker display, a dedicated child care space, a caf\u00e9\/turn area for quick grab-n-go meal options, and a fitness center with indoor\/outdoor group exercise areas.<\/p>\n

In 2011, Cape Fear Country Club engaged Chambers to develop a long-term Facilities Master Plan for the hotel interior design<\/em><\/strong><\/a>. Chambers facilitated the planning process to develop a phased program. Phase One consisted of rebalancing of clubhouse dining spaces (renovations were completed Spring 2014), while Phase Two including developing a Family Activity Center (FAC), which held its grand opening in Spring 2016.<\/p>\n

The FAC\u2019s interior dining spaces<\/strong><\/em> respond to the traditions of the Club and its setting in the coastal plain and Tidewater region while creating a contemporary coastal aesthetic that is both sophisticated and functional for members of all ages. Employing mostly neutrals with accents of azure blue, turquoise, and grassy greens, interior colors are reminiscent of the natural areas surrounding the Club to create a clean-lined, calming environment through hotel interior design<\/em><\/strong><\/a>, as well as the thoughtful application of color, materiality, art, and furnishings.<\/p>\n

As the premier private city club in Pittsburgh, the prestigious Duquesne Club<\/em><\/strong> has provided its members and guests with exclusive recreational, social and business experiences; superior service; and exceptional personal attention since 1873.<\/p>\n

Hired in 2014, Chambers developed\u00a0hotel interior design<\/em><\/strong><\/a> solutions based on information gathered from a Membership Survey.\u00a0The renovations reimagined the Club\u2019s traditional spaces to create comfortable, intimate areas for informal gatherings.<\/p>\n

Such renovations include transforming the Ricketson Room, which now features a refined bar\/lounge area that has brought an active social life back to the club.\u00a0\u00a0Once a large living room that remained vacant most days, the Ricketson Room now offers flexibility and versatility for various club functions. The layout and d\u00e9cor were carefully selected to bring a lighter, fresher feel to space, enabling it to transform for varying needs.<\/p>\n

5. AMERICAN CLUB OF HONG KONG-\u00a0Hong Kong, China<\/h3>\n

Located in Hong Kong, China, The American Club<\/em><\/strong> is a premier Club dedicated to providing its members and their families with a place for social, recreational, and business activities in a distinctive American atmosphere.
\nChambers developed an overall\u00a0interior design<\/em><\/strong><\/a> for the club that included design solutions for four facilities at the Country Club. Conceptual plans for the outdoor terrace overlooking Tai Tam Bay\u2014complete with a bar and infinity-edge plunge pool\u2014was the first phase of the overall Master Plan to be implemented.<\/p>\n

6. NORTH OAKS GOLF CLUB-\u00a0Minneapolis, Minnesota<\/h3>\n

In 2016, North Oaks Golf Club<\/em><\/strong> embarked on a remodeling program that would equip their dining facilities with the space necessary to accommodate their growing membership.\u00a0Chambers focused on creating spaces that matched the energy of the membership and enhanced the overall flow of the Club. Improvements focused on reimagining the dining facility, updating the bar area, creating communal outdoor spaces, as well as exterior maintenance improvements including new siding, stone, and a new roof.<\/p>\n

What was once a long and dark entry foyer now boasts a bright and welcoming reception and ma\u00eetre d\u2019 area, adding to North Oaks neighborly appeal. To breathe life back into an unused space, the Living Room was transformed into a Wine Room complete with cocktail seating and a stone fireplace. Additionally, the Wine Room opens up to the newly expanded bar area, further optimizing the flow and flexibility between spaces.<\/p>\n

7. COSMOS CLUB-\u00a0Washington, DC<\/h3>\n

Located in Washington, DC, the esteemed Cosmos Club<\/em><\/strong> is a private social club for intellectuals distinguished in science, literature, the arts, and public service. Cosmos Club embarked on a\u00a0hotel interior design<\/em><\/strong><\/a> renovation program designed to refresh various dining spaces while still speaking to the Club\u2019s distinguished history.<\/p>\n

In 2016, Chambers developed a renovation plan aimed to enhance the overall ambiance and experience for each and every member.\u00a0The Heroy is accented by a back-lit stone-look countertop with rich upholstered leather panels and a sophisticated bottle display. The adjacent lounge area creates an inviting space to enjoy pre-dinner drinks and conversation with fellow members.<\/p>\n

8. UNION LEAGUE CLUB OF CHICAGO-\u00a0Chicago, Illinois<\/h3>\n

Chambers was hired to update the Rendezvous Bar, Wigwam Dining Room and most recently, the first-floor lounge area and lobby\u00a0creating \u201cmodern and elegant\u201d \u00a0interior design<\/em><\/strong><\/a> that respects the historic architectural integrity of the Club.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0intent was to complement the traditional look and feel of ULCC while enhancing its functionality for today\u2019s modern member. Large accent chairs and sofas were strategically placed to offer members a dual-purpose space for casual conversation or a cozy corner to read the morning paper.\u00a0Additionally, refined light fixtures, fine art, and bold d\u00e9cor blend beautifully together in ULCC\u2019s reimagined first-floor space to add a touch of modern sophistication to an already polished club.<\/p>\n

9. CHARLOTTE CITY CLUB-\u00a0Charlotte, North Carolina<\/h3>\n

The\u00a0hotel interior design<\/em><\/strong><\/a> was upgraded with custom milled cherry woods, Hawaiian granite, Axminster wool carpeting, and elegant furniture, fabrics, and accessories. The new Grill serves as the lively centerpiece of the Club, offering dining, a bar, and a library.<\/p>\n

New meeting rooms create additional seating, one of which contains cellar storage where members can store their favorite bottles of wine.\u00a0The Hornet\u2019s Nest<\/em>\u00a0was established to provide members with a casual dining room and bar lounge suitable for cocktails and socializing; while also doubling as a business lounge when needed.<\/p>\n

10. PETROLEUM CLUB OF FT WORTH-\u00a0Ft. Worth, Texas<\/h3>\n

Chambers\u2019 design of the \u201cnew\u201d hotel interior design<\/a>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>space called for creative planning and design elements to allow the club to continue to draw large functions and serve member dining in the high standards of the larger space.
\nThe new\u00a0hotel interior design<\/em><\/strong><\/a> spaces include a dining room that seats 120, a bar lounge with a unique oval ceiling and a patio carved into the building. The patio, 39 stories up and overlooking the Ft. Worth skyline also features an outdoor fireplace and comfortable lounge furniture.<\/p>\n
