Once known as the Miyako Hotel, this amazing hotel interior design<\/strong><\/em> example is centrally located in the area known as the Japantown of San Francisco, CA.\u00a0The original 15-story tower and 3-story annexe were built in 1964, and have since gone through multiple expansions and major renovations, during which time the Hotel\u2019s aesthetics had begun to depart from its cultural and historical significance, until the conversion of the Miyako Hotel to Hotel Kabuki, which revitalized the neighbourhood.\u00a0DLR Group|Kwan Henmi\u2019s<\/em>\u00a0hotel interior design<\/em><\/strong><\/a> <\/span>for the most recent renovation of the fitness center, lobby, and tower and annex guest rooms all aim to preserve this unique blend of culture that\u2019s comprised of Eastern and Western influences, maintaining its historical presence in the context of Japantown while also highlighting the cross-cultural style through cosmetic renovation and upgrades.<\/p>\n

2. AC Hotel San Francisco Oyster Point-\u00a0San Francisco, CA<\/h3>\n

Completed in 2017,\u00a0South San Francisco\u2019s unique topography is a key feature and alluring element for this new AC Hotel. DLR Group\u2019s\u00a0hotel interior design<\/em><\/strong><\/a><\/span> embodies an unparalleled departure from the everyday hotel experience while still being specific to the AC brand \u2013 defined by a high-style environment and European sophistication. The exterior of the hotel resembles the brilliance of an oyster shell with a large open courtyard allowing natural light to flow. Looking to create a delightful escape from the mundane, the design brings the peaceful coast environment indoors, employing elements of the bay such as colours and textures associated with pearls, calm shells, and the ocean.<\/p>\n

3. AC Hotel Raleigh North Hills-\u00a0Raleigh, NC<\/h3>\n

DLR Group<\/em><\/strong> designers collaborated with Marriott to create a truly local experience while delivering the high-style, European sophistication that defines the AC brand. The hotel interior design<\/u><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0project features a unique sky lobby and amenity floor at the top of the building as its focal point. A dynamic architectural projection engages guests from the entry, running vertically along with a glass elevator, and out to the trellised rooftop deck. The open plan of the amenity floor offers panoramic views of this urban mixed-use setting.<\/p>\n

4. LoDo Denver Boutique Hotel-\u00a0Denver, CO<\/h3>\n

The building\u2019s lower floors respond to the historic buildings style, scale and proportion. The building\u2019s upper floors architecture style is clean and contemporary \u2014 it responds to a contemporary context while taking some influence from the surrounding historic building. It utilizes a straightforward palette of materials to break up density \u2014 including stone, masonry, limited use of plaster, steel, galvanized and painted metal accents and an extensive amount of glazing at the street frontage.<\/p>\n

5. AC Hotel Spartanburg-\u00a0Spartanburg, SC<\/h3>\n

DLR Group\u2019s\u00a0hotel interior design<\/em><\/strong><\/a><\/span>\u00a0offers a modern interpretation of the classic, high-style that has become a stable of this brand. This interior approach makes the property unique as the first AC Hotels by Marriott in the United States to embrace classic architectural styling and juxtapose the modern interior, as AC Hotels by Marriott are done in Europe. A main staple in the interior design is artwork from the Black Mountain Movement that took place in North Carolina at Black Mountain College from 1933 to 1957.\u00a0The collection going into the AC Hotel Spartanburg is museum-quality artwork and is closely connected to that region.<\/p>\n

6. AC Hotel Westport-\u00a0Kansas City, MO<\/h3>\n

Completed in 2015, this rebranded hotel brings together a unique neighbourhood and the AC Hotels by Marriott brand to attract the modern, urban guests who visit this area well known for its nightlife.\u00a0The former Q Hotel & Spa was originally built in 1986 as an independent hotel in the historic Westport District. DLR Group\u2019s design team worked closely with the developer and the Marriott transformed the dated building into a franchised AC Hotels by Marriott. The public spaces and guest rooms of the\u00a0hotel interior design<\/em><\/strong><\/a><\/span> bring the high-style environment and European sophistication that the AC Hotels by Marriott brand was founded on. Simple, clean and crisp aesthetics are found throughout the hotel and appeal to the design-conscious guests.<\/p>\n

7.\u00a0The Elizabeth, Marriott Autograph Collection-\u00a0Fort Collins, CO<\/h3>\n

The\u00a0hotel interior design<\/em><\/strong><\/a><\/span> of The Elizabeth, Marriott Autograph Collection, sought to evoke a light and airy ambience, accentuated with handcrafted details in furnishings and mouldings, juxtaposed by raw and aged wood. DLR Group\u2019s design uses an abundance of neutral tones in painted mouldings, unapologetic filigree, and rich ornamentation on walls, amplified when their shadows further reveal their depth in the daylight. The lobby is punctuated with colours of blue, aubergine and peach inspired by peonies and spring willow branch buds.<\/p>\n

8. Canopy by Hilton Minneapolis Mill District-\u00a0Minneapolis, MN<\/h3>\n

DLR Group<\/strong><\/em> is currently designing the new Canopy by Hilton Minneapolis Mill District in the historic Advance Thresher\/Emerson-Newton building. Built-in 1900 and 1904, the Advance Thresher building has been on the National Historic Register since 1977. Originally designed by Kees and Colburn, this hotel interior design<\/em><\/strong> project is an excellent example of the influence of Chicago architect Louis Sullivan on large-scale commercial\/industrial buildings in Minneapolis at the turn of the century. The exterior combines brick and beautiful terra-cotta detailing with a broad projecting metal cornice. The interior consists of heavy timber construction with soaring atriums that are filled with natural daylight.<\/p>\n

9. JW Marriott at Mall of America-\u00a0Minneapolis, MN<\/h3>\n

The exterior of the building is composed of elegant Swisspearl panels with punched window openings juxtaposed with a beautiful curtain wall facade. The hotel interior design<\/em><\/strong><\/a>,<\/span> which is carefully tailored to express the elements from within, welcomes guests with a striking glass Porte cochere set against a backdrop of stainless steel shingles that have a gentle enveloping curve.<\/p>\n

10. Overland Park Sheraton Hotel & Convention Cntr.-\u00a0Overland Park, KS<\/h3>\n

DLR Group\u2019s\u00a0hotel interior design<\/em><\/strong><\/a><\/span> create individual identifies for both the headquarters hotel and the convention centre but creatively fuses them into an integrated, destination complex with two levels of pedestrian walkways and a shared courtyard connecting guests, visitors, and exhibitors.\u00a0Within the hotel, inviting, contemporary architecture coupled with bold and dramatic interiors exudes quality, elegance and a sense of place representative of the local and regional pride.\u00a0 This pride also shows through in the many amenities that Sheraton offers its guests.<\/p>\n
