Via Tortona<\/span><\/strong><\/a> was just a sleepy, warehouse-filled neighborhood southwest of Milan\u2019s center, when Italian Vogue art director Flavio Lucchini<\/span><\/strong><\/a> and photographer Fabrizio Ferri<\/span><\/strong><\/a> opened their ground-breaking photography studio there in 1983, naming it Superstudio. At the time, people thought they were crazy, but the design and fashion worlds followed where they led.\u00a0Zona Tortona<\/span><\/strong><\/a> is now regarded as the design center of\u00a0Milan\u00a0and plays host to many events during\u00a0Milan\u2019s design week.<\/p>\n
