A story is of many years, from the time when Louis XV asked the architect Ange-Jacques Gabriel that builds the famous Palace De L\u00e1 Concorde, but in the decade of 1770, a house like its two sculptures was constructed. Crillon becomes a hotel in 1909 when Duc de Crillon is a house<\/span><\/strong><\/a> in 1778 and its descendants years later have made it a hotel<\/strong><\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n

A who\u2019s who of royalty and celebrity would check in over the ensuing decades, and the Crillon reigned supreme in the Paris hotel scene<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Tastes have changed as new hotels have been appearing from the Mandarin Oriental, Raffles, and Shangri-La<\/strong><\/a><\/span>, and have opened up even more modern avenues to the city proving that Crillon needed to keep up with the change.<\/p>\n

Four Parisian designers \u2014 Tristan Auer, Chahan Minassian, Cyril Vergniol, and Aline Asmar d\u2019Ammam \u2014 were brought in to do the interiors<\/span><\/strong><\/a>, which feel lighter and brighter than before. In order to maximize space, the room count dropped from 147 to 124 (that includes 36 suites and 10 signature suites). Each of the spacious quarters, which are done in subtle grey and neutral tones and feature marble bathrooms<\/a><\/strong><\/span>, is designed to feel like a chic Parisian apartment<\/span><\/strong><\/a>. Chanel creative director Karl Lagerfeld reimagined Les Grandes Apartments, two palatial suites on the fourth floor floor.<\/p>\n

Other additions to the hotel include a new spa, Sense; a subterranean swimming pool with a mural by ceramicist Peter Lane; and a new fine-dining restaurant, L\u2019Ecrin, which seats just 22 people in the Salon des Citronniers.<\/p>\n

After all, with all changes, in Crillon you are able to see the amethyst chandeliers<\/strong><\/a><\/span> and the Baccarat decanters.But with these additional modern touches<\/span><\/a><\/strong>, the hotel is now ready to welcome a new generation of guests in the decades to come.<\/p>\n
