Studio MHNA was founded by Marc Hertrich and Nicolas Adnet over thirty years ago in Paris. Together with their team, they keep on pushing boundaries, always maintaining their French style. Right from the start, the Parisian studio for interior design and decoration has been imagining, conceiving, and developing projects with highly personalised creative atmospheres. Their two pillars lay on sophistication and luxury.
“Interior design is our passion. It is the art of joining aesthetics and functionality, technique and poetry, in order to create a place that is outstanding.”
The work chemistry between the two designers was so immediate that they started to put together large-scale hotel projects all around the world. Since then, they have personalised their creations using the culture, past, and traditions found locally at the site of each project, as well as the unequalled talent of artists and artisans, the true creative partners of the two designers. Since the very beginning, the team’s goal has been exactly the same: to adorn the functional with poetry and to create a “signature French style, adaptable and recognisable.”
Set on the slopes at an altitude of 1860 metres, Club Med Alpe d’Huez revives the traditional mountain aesthetics codes in a contemporary and welcoming style. In a warm atmosphere, the Studio MHNA has created different decors inspired by sports themes or the wild herbarium of the famous botanist Gaston Bonnier. Harmony, authenticity and softness are the keywords of this creation.
Transformed twice by The Studio, this old station used to link the Bois de Boulogne to Paris. Designed at first in a very « loft » spirit, the project has been re-visited around ten years later in order to create a new warmer and friendly atmosphere. A bar on the ground floor leads to a wide staircase which allows the visitor to discover the old quays and the huge dining-room below.
Subtly combining refinement and audacity, the elegance of this hôtel particulier is marked by innovation and modernity, emulating the characteristics of the Astor family who was at the origin of its construction. Studio MHNA imagined the Maison Astor as a depiction of the eponymous family, built as a narrative inspired by their history and their love of Paris.
Located a stone’s throw from the Arc de Triomphe, Caïus restaurant now offers a new sensory experience where décor and cuisine are in unison. Like a common thread, the culinary inspirations of chef Jean-Marc Notelet, known as one of the initiators of authentic and inventive Parisian bistronomy, guided Studio MHNA in its choice of atmospheres, materials.
With the total renovation of the mythical Constance Lémuria Seychelles, on this treasure island, the studio wanted to bring some mystery and poetry. The resort allows guests to escape reality and leave their cares behind thanks to those atmospheres of strong character, that recall travels, spice routes, far East Indies, neighbouring Africa, as well as all the creole influences and those of Old Europe.
The Studio MHNA is an international actor on the interior design scene, full of enthusiasm and endless production capabilities, and though some of their projects have remained purposefully confidential, others are hailed as the jewels of the global Hotel industry, as well as in other domains such as restaurants, lifestyle, and travel… all innovative creations that have built the studio’s reputation and success.
