1. Hotel W New York- New York, USA
The W New York was designed as a natural oasis in the midst of its bustling, urban midtown location. Rockwell Group renovated the existing 1928 building into an entirely new concept in hospitality design: hotel as a sanctuary. The elements wind, water, earth, and fire are the inspiration behind the images, materials, colors, and textures found throughout the hotel interior design.
2. Taj Mahal Palace & Tower Hotel- Mumbai, India
In 2010 Rockwell Group created a master plan for the renovation of the Taj Mahal Palace & Tower Hotel, in addition to redesigning two dining destinations within the hotel interior design—Wasabi by Morimoto and the historic Harbour Bar. There most recent project at the Taj includes the renovation of the All Day Dining restaurant—Shamiana—and the Tower spa—Jiva, where they combined clean architectural lines with bespoke details that reference the original 1903 hotel building.
3. Alohilani Resort – Honolulu, HI
Hawaii’s former Pacific Beach Hotel has relaunched as Alohilani Resort Waikiki Beach after undergoing its first major renovation since it opened in 1969. Rockwell Group re-conceptualized the property’s exterior façade, public areas, guestrooms and suites, and pool deck. The hotel interior design is inspired by Honolulu’s culture and the island’s lush landscape to create a tranquil oasis in the midst of a bustling city.
4. Vidanta Los Cabos- San José del Cabo, Mexico
This luxurious beachside resort in Mexico’s Baja California Sur state sits on a pristine beach overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The hotel interior design refreshing updates to the amenity spaces improve circulation, access, and views, while also creating more moments for guests to interact.
The columns of a new porte-cochere are concealed with totem-like, geometric, slatted wood screens. As guests enter the lobby, a sky bridge now provides views and circulation directly out to the beach by way of grand, bleacher-like stairs.

5. Gran Hotel Inglés- Madrid, Spain
Gran Hotel Inglés has been a landmark since it was officially opened in 1886. The first hotel to have a restaurant, and on the first street in the city to receive electric lights, it became a cultural icon as well. After years of neglect and disrepair, the hotel interior design has been renovated and redesigned for today’s sophisticated, modern traveler.
Rockwell Group brought back the glamour, elegance, and innovation of the hotel, weaving original imagery and salvaged historic items into our design.
6.The Ritz-Carlton Boston- Boston, MA
Nowhere but Boston is the history of this country so well preserved and represented and set against a spectacular backdrop of Modern and contemporary architecture. Rockwell Group took its inspiration for the redesign of the hotel’s 193 guest rooms and suites, and meeting and function spaces from the soul of the city—the distillation of its many heritages through the centuries.
For the hotel interior design, the design firm uses historic materials such as saddle leather, linen, wood, and steel are distilled into unexpected details, from leather and bronze headboard fasteners to “turned” table legs and monochromatic furniture pieces with restrained ornamentation.
7. Dream Hollywood – Los Angeles, USA
The Dream Hollywood pays homage to mid-century Modern architecture unique to Los Angeles, but with a Dream, Hotels twist. Influenced by residences designed by John Lautner, Richard Neutra, and others, Rockwell Group crafted a contemporary hotel interior design framework for the lobby, guestrooms, and rooftop amenities. Dream Hollywood also features five restaurant and nightlife venues operated by TAO Group, all located within and adjacent to the hotel and designed by Rockwell Group.
8. MGM Cotai- Macau, China
Rockwell Group brought intimacy, discovery, and surprise to the public spaces of MGM Cotai, a grand resort and casino—lobbies, retail corridors, a traditional Chinese restaurant, and The Spectacle, a football-field-sized, glass-topped atrium at the heart of the hotel interior design project and the confluence of its many offerings.
9.Nobu Hotel- Miami Beach, USA
Nobu Hotel Miami Beach is part of the multi-million dollar renovation and re-launch of the Eden Roc brand name and property. The second Nobu Hotel in the U.S. is located within Eden Roc Miami Beach, a landmark tower designed by Morris Lapidus in the 1950s. In this hotel interior design, the Rockwell Group designed the guest rooms and suites, as well as the public areas including the lobby, restaurant, and the first-ever Nobu Hotel Pool and Lounge.
10. Hotel EMC2 – Chicago, IL
Hotel EMC2 is a new Autograph Collection gem near Chicago’s Northwestern University medical campus. For the hotel interior design, Rockwell Group merged the worlds of the scientist and artist for the eclectic interiors, celebrating a sense of discovery, creativity, and innovation. The simple yet refined residential aesthetic of the 195 guestrooms is balanced with imaginative, custom touches.
