Founded in Russia in 2002 by Nadezhda and George Ananyev, Ananiev Interiors has a strong mission within the interior design industry, with a strong mission to provide tailored residential projects! Their interior design legacy keeps on growing and in 2018, they opened their own gallery of vintage and designer NG Gallery items. The owner’s visual goal for the house was colour. Nadezhda and George Ananyev followed this request and the result is an interior design project filled with vintage references while still showcasing beautiful midcentury handmade furniture. – Everything was built having in mind the main idea of “visual impression and magnificent appeal for the eyes”. It was important to make a statement with expressive walls through bright wallpapers, combine artistic and remarkable furniture and also outstanding and even provocative pieces of art.
The stairwell lights the 1980s Tronchi chandelier, Murano Venini; mirror Sturm, Murano; Bench, Downtown; at the level of the second floor of a photograph by Mikhail Rozanov. On the wall to the right is a picture of Sean Scully.
Hall. On the wall to the left is a painting by Ilya Kabakov. On a vintage table, Jules Leleu, sculpture by Curtis Géret; 1970s chandelier; console, Century. Luminous letters are placed throughout the house – the initial letters of the names of the owners.
In terms of the apartment floor planning; the first floor gathers a singular public area, which is a suite of rooms closed in a circle. On the second floor, there is a private area. There is also a room for each child and a separate outhouse for the guests. The walls remained in the same place – Ananiev did not move them – though they have completely cleaned the “stuffing”, leaving only the doors, as the interior designers found them really beautiful and in conformity with the concept.
The “music lounge” has an amazing merge of bright colors and a playful composition of vintage to midcentury handmade furniture. One of the main entertainers is mustard-yellow MAYA lounge chairs from BRABBU, providing a lounge room idea for boutique hotel design projects. This velvet lounge chair has the perfect combination of sensual and delicate forms and due to its fierce color can invoke long and comfortable conversations.

View from the hall to the “art room”. This room is a true inspiration, as it understands and connects an extraordinary color spectrum and fantastic textures to provide a complete sensory experience. Friends and neighbours enter this house like into a museum. And one must admit, it’s a fair resemblance!
